What’s Hot: Seattle Rock Orchestra Performs Arcade Fire

When you think of rock-and-roll, the first thing that comes to mind usually isn’t a full orchestra.  But this weekend the Seattle Rock Orchestra will perform a tribute to the rock band Arcade Fire.

The groundbreaking performance will not only include a reprise of the critically acclaimed 2009 performance which highlighted the band’s debut album, Funeral, but also its sophomore album, Neon Bible, making for a high-energy, dance-heavy evening perfect for Seattleites of all musical tastes.

The exhilarating evening performance will feature vocals from heavy-hitters such as Benjamin Verdoes of Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, Chris Cunningham of Ravenna Woods and Ian Williams of The Thoughts.

Referring to itself as the “coolest orchestra in town,” the SRO has been blending the vastly different worlds of rock-and-roll and orchestral music since 2008. No Seattleite should miss this thrilling performance that is sure to be talked about for years to come.
