Cider, a United Kingdom trending drink, is taking on the Emerald City.
Imagine a career that allowed you to travel around the world, meeting cider-makers and sipping thier flavorful drinks. This is exactly what world-renowned beverage writer Peter Brown and cider-obsessed photographer Bill Bradshaw are doing as they create their first ever global guide to cider.
Bradshaw is an award-winning cider photographer who lives in England. He spends every spare moment of his day photographing cider pictures and is quickly establishing himself as a cider guru. Brown is one of the United Kingdom’s leading beer writers. In 2009, he authored three best-selling books and was deemed Beer Writer of the year. A few years later, he discovered cider and has already written extensively about it.
Brown and Bradshaw are making a stop in the Emerald City before continuing on with their travels. The Northwest Cider Association will host their visit, which will include a presentation and cider-tasting. Ciders will be on tap and include Alpenfire, Snowdrift, Tieton Cider Works, Anthem and Finnriver.
The Northwest Cider Association is a trade organization formed by cider producers throughout the Pacific Northwest in order to promote awareness of regional artisanal ciders among the public.
