The Radar: Best Place To Eat Like A Kid Again

Child’s play has never tasted so good.

OK, we’re all about food snob-approved tasting menus and hand-crafted cocktails, but sometimes we just can’t help it. We crave simpler satiation. Thick pancakes doused in syrup, a heaping spoonful of sugary-perfect cereal, or even — dare we admit it — candy for breakfast.

Enter Munchbar, a Bellevue resto making it more than okay not to eat your age. The expansive eatery is like Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory (check out the ridiculous candy and cereal buffet for Munch Brunch on Sundays) meets US Weekly (Carmen Electra reportedly celebrated her birthday here), with plenty of indulgent menu options.

On the sweet side, we couldn’t get enough of the cheese blintzes, glazed with a sweet blueberry sauce. Flapjack fans will appreciate the Lemon Ricotta pancakes, crested with fresh berries. Seeking savory? Scarf down the hearty Breakfast Burrito, generously stuffed with chorizo, cheddar, pico de gallo and scrambled egg.

Wash it all down with a Bellini, or try out the make-your-own-bloody-mary bar. There is also a wide selection of microbrew ales, signature cocktails and wine, as well.

Munchbar is open every day from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. In addition, Munch Brunch takes place each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
