Cirque du Soleil Luzia Spotlight: Mark Shaub and Kelly McDonald
We had the chance to chat with Artistic Director, Mark Shaub, and Adagio artist Kelly McDonald of the Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA show arriving in Seattle on March 30th (get your tickets soon!). LUZIA takes you to imaginary Mexico, like in a waking dream, where light quenches the spirit and the rain soothes the soul. Freely inspired by Mexico, LUZIA is a poetic and acrobatic ode to the rich, vibrant culture of a country whose wealth stems from an extraordinary mix of influences and creative collisions. (more…)

Naka reopens as Adana: Curate your own 3-course tasting menu
We only dined at Naka once before it closed its doors in January. Maybe Seattle wasn’t ready for Naka’s fine dining kaiseki concept, offering 6, 10 and 15-course menu options. The food, the dining experience, and the service are still as high quality as before—with a more approachable and affordable menu.  (more…)

Seattle Seahawks vs Green Bay Packers Week 14 Recap
Earl Thomas was absent and the Seattle Seahawks were away at Lambeau Field, but that doesn’t excuse any of their play on Sunday, which was one of their worst performances of the season (offensively and defensively). Russell Wilson threw five (five!) interceptions, the defense just kinda went through the motions, and the wideouts dropped some easy catches that really hurt the Seahawks. (more…)

Seattle and Vancouver Seek to Build a Regional High-Tech Corridor
Given their close proximity, their shared culture, and their high-tech, eco-friendly outlook, it would seem to be a natural idea for Seattle and Vancouver to further integrate their economies and create a single Cascadia Innovation Corridor. Microsoft called it “an idea whose time has come,” yet numerous barriers still stand in the way of this vision. Seattle Seahawks vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 12 Recap
Well, it was an extremely unattractive game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Yes, it was an ugly battle, particularly for the away team, as they mustered up a mere five points in a 14-5 loss. Not much to say here, really. (more…)
