Getting on island time is truly a breeze when hopping over to Vashon for the day, weekend or a lengthier stay. Wednesday Evening Farmers Markets at Pike Place Returns May 31st
Pike Place Market’s second annual Wednesday Evening Farmers Market will kick off on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 giving downtown shoppers the opportunity to enjoy the long summer evenings while shopping for fresh produce and supporting local farmers. Restaurant Radar: Farmers Market Monday at Marée Bistro & Bar
Marée Bistro & Bar opened in February this year with a gorgeous waterfront view of Alki beach. Marée means ‘the tide’ in French, named after its location and inspired by the seasonality of the Northwest. Chef Andy Dekle sources sustainably raised and harvested meat, game, shellfish, fish and produce from nearby purveyors. Aspects of the menu change often, because truly seasonal is fleeting at certain times of the year and with certain products; other menu items change with the time of the year.  (more…)
