On Friday, June 17, Seattle Art Museum (SAM) hosted its annual fundraiser, Party in the Park, at the Olympic Sculpture Park, where Seattle’s indie folk-pop band Hey Marseilles brought the park alive in the Gates Amphitheater. Also, Seattle resident and guitarist Dave Hernandez of The Shins kept partygoers moving with a DJ set curated especially for Party in the ParkCurtains for You, a local 5-piece indie pop group, also performed an acoustic set. Glow-in-the-dark hoola hoopers, an art intervention by Susan Robb and a host of other exciting performances and art activities took place all night long.

A caravan of food trucks also delighted late night noshers, including Dante’s Inferno Dogs, Maximus/Minimus (pulled pork and veggie sandwiches), Skillet Street Food (burgers and poutine) Veraci Wood Fired Pizza, Molly Moon’s Ice Cream and Street Treats (dessert bars).
