Party with a Purpose (PWAP) threw its second annual event for young professionals in Seattle. The party celebrated a growing movement dedicated to global health awareness. Attendees were educated about the impact tuberculosis has had on the nation of Haiti — and what one local organization, the Infectious Disease Research Institute, is doing about it.

Last year’s party raised $13,000 for rotavirus treatment corners in Kenya through PATH. This year’s party raised more than $30,000 for TB tests and vaccine research for Haiti — and educated more than a thousand participants in the process.
