New Year Libations: Seastar’s Anti-Oxitini


Full of blueberries, pomegranate and acai, this concoction has detoxifying powers.

What better way to kick off 2012 than a good ol’ fashion cleansing detox with a not so ol’ fashioned technique? We’re talking about Seastar’s Anti-Oxtini, a powerful libation that uses natural antioxidants as ingredients. Hints of blueberry, cranberry and acai liquors are combined with fresh cranberry juice and pomegranate puree. More guilt-free health shake than boozed up cocktail, it combines your angelic desire to be healthy with your not so healthy craving for an alcoholic beverage.

The Not So Secret Recipe:

Well, it is actually top secret. This proprietary recipe is closely guarded, so all we can share is that it contains Stoli Blueberi, Stoli Cranberi, Absolut Berri Acai, cranberry juice and pomegranate puree. The concoction is shaken and served up in a martini glass.

The celeb chef behind the award-winning Seastar Restaurant & Raw Bar is John Howie. He has an impressive resume of culinary endeavors, from his time in the kitchens of several local restaurants (including SPORT Restaurant & Bar and Adriatic Grill Italian Cuisine & Wine Bar) to his culinary blog, Plank Cooking. The chef also recently released a cookbook, “Passion & Palate,” which contains a collection of stories and recipes from his long career.
