Music Madness: Jack White

Experience the enchantment of Jack White at the WaMu Theater.

I liked the White Stripes, I think at some point in time we all fell for the album White Blood Cells in 2001, with that garage band sound a lot of Americans’ strive for, but couldn’t successfully pull off without the British accent. But I must say I LOVE Jack White; his solo performance at Sasquatch was hands down one of the best live sets I’ve seen.

His ability to captivate his widespread audience is special in and of itself. He is busily contributing to the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, and the Dead Weather and somehow finds the time to polish his solo career! Leading the White Stripes has enabled him to branch out solo, working with artists like Alicia Keys, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones. His new album Blunderbuss has gained popularity since released in April, and he’s made it clear he has written every song from scratch as self expression.

He also broad-casted the single Sixteen Saltines on Saturday Night Live right after a few of the songs off the album were leaked on Youtube. After headlining Sasquatch, and Lollapalooza in Chitown, he will make a pit stop at Red Rock then land at WaMu, where Seattleites will delight in a performance sure to be talked about for years to come.

When: Tuesday, August 14th 8:00PM at WaMu Theater

Tickets: General Admission $46.50 (click here)
