Not to be outdone on the technological front, Tiffany & Co. has recently released an application for iPhone and iPad, available for free download at iTunes. The app allows users to search for Tiffany rings, based on shape, setting, metal or design.
“This [app] is one of a kind,” says Ellen Rollins, Tiffany’s Group Director of the Pacific North Market. “Tiffany is the only store doing this. It’s great for women to see what they like, before they come into the store.”
But more importantly, the app also features a sizing function, which is ideal for boyfriends that might be shopping for engagement rings.

The accurate Ring Sizer app lets users determine their size by placing an actual ring directly on the screen and aligning it with the correct circle in the guide. The rings are shown true-to-size and each style may be viewed with diamonds of six different carat sizes. Users may zoom in on a ring’s exquisite details, pair the rings with wedding bands, and save or share their favorites via e-mail, Facebook® and Twitter®.
“All [the boyfriends] need is a piece of existing jewelry,” says Rollins. “This way, a man won’t propose to his girlfriend, then have to take the ring in for re-sizing.”
Gentlemen, you now have no more excuses to not find the perfect ring for your lady.
