Food Porn: Restaurant Marché Bainbridge turns 3!

Celebrate the anniversary with a new tasting menu for $50

Hailed with rave reviews when it opened three years ago on Bainbridge Island, Restaurant Marché has matured into a vibrant showcase for culinary excellence where Pacific Northwest ingredients are the foundation for the chef’s modern takes on French classics. Beginning today, Restaurant Marché will launch a special menu offering a pre-fixe, four-course chef’s tasting menu highlighting seasonal favorites. Following the launch, the fifty dollar tasting menu will be offered as an adjunct to the á la carte dinner menu, and a new tasting menu will be introduced with the beginning of every season.

Highlights of the menu include:

Five Vegetables Five Ways presents Bainbridge Island and Westsound produce in stunning ways. The Green Pea Flan with Pea Vines and Morels is the centerpiece; Wood-fired Jumbo Asparagus draped in lemon butter sauce also shines.

Wild Alaska King Salmon with Braised Leeks, Rhubarb Compote and Fingerling Potatoes is bronzed on a cast iron grill over burning wood, tender leeks melting in olive oil and ginger-spiked rhubarb are punctuated with the pale purple blossoms of chives from the chef’s own kitchen garden.

Pastured Skagit River Ranch Wagyu Beef Brisket, Marché’s take on the French country classic, pot au feu is braised overnight in bone broth and served with organic, island-grown carrots and turnips; freshly grated horseradish and wild watercress finish the dish.

Desserts, made in house, include a Provençale-style Pine Nut Tart filled with punchy orange marmalade, almond paste and fragrant pine nuts balanced with freshly churned heirloom navel orange sorbet. A house favorite is the Vanilla Bean Crème Brulée, made with organic sugar and local farm eggs. The whimsical cookie plate piled with an assortment of the chef’s favorites is perfect for sharing.

Marché celebrates the seasons with brilliantly executed dishes and attentive, professional service. Plan your trip over to Bainbridge Island soon! Restaurant Marché is open for lunch, happy hour and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 until closing.
