In this edition of Food Porn, we feature Cicchetti, hidden behind the popular and elegant Serafina with a casual and charming atmosphere. Outside, there is a beautiful patio, inside, there is a woodburning hearth and a welcoming bar featuring tasty cocktails and a Mediterranean-inspired menu.

Pick 3 appetizer bites for $12 to start the meal. We had crispy phllyo-wrapped Apricot, Marcona Almond & Halloumi ‘Cigars’, Serrano Ham-Wrapped Melon, Beef Tartare with tahini and yogurt, and Shrimp & Avocado Salad with chickpeas. Small plates that can be shared — Heirloom Tomato Salad with shaved fennel, frisée & warm chorizo is fresh with nice juicy tomatoes. Other small plates include the Roasted Pork Short Ribs with peach chutney and chilies and Whole-Roasted Artichokes with cumin butter and pesto aioli.

The Merguez Sausage and Braised Octopus comes with peppers, crispy capers and green chermoula. The octopus was tender with just the right amount of bite in a deep and flavorful broth. Seafood Tagine features Sockeye salmon, clams, mussels, fingerling potatoes, cherry tomatoes and tarragon with rich Moroccan flavors.

For dessert, Buttermilk Doughnuts are unique, similar to an old-fashioned doughnut without the glaze, and served with a coriander & vanilla bean-infused honey syrup. Spanish-Style Chocolate Mousse with olive oil, sea salt, and crostini is light and heavenly.

The bar is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am, Friday and Saturday from 5:00 pm to 2:00 am. The Happy Hour Kitchen is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 pm to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am.
