Seattle By Foot invites you to learn about — and sip on — the city’s finest joe.
You may think you know everything about Seattle, but Seattle By Foot begs to differ. The group sponsors walking tours that allow you to explore the city’s nooks and crannies — even die-hard locals don’t about some of these locations. Seattle By Foot wants you to experience a whole new side of your hometown — and if you join them during the weekend, you’ll enjoy some fresh coffee while you’re at it. A lot of fresh coffee, actually.
Seattle By Foot’s Coffee Crawl invites walkers to experience the myriad of coffee flavors that are available in our city. Though Starbucks put Seattle on the map, our town is home to more than 70 roasters — incidentally, the world’s largest concentration of coffee brands. What better place to learn about the addictive little bean?
During the 2-hour tour, participants will learn the history of Seattle’s relationship with coffee, including an in-depth look at the rising popularity of latte art. The best part: several blends from the city’s most popular coffee shops are available to sample during the crawl.
Seattle By Foot hosts other tours, such as the Scenic Emerald City Tour, Funky Fremont, and Seattle Pub Crawl. These tours have been named a “Must Do” by Seattle Magazine and recommended by CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Marie Claire.
The Coffee Crawl tour meets every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Seattle’s Best Coffee in Pike Place Market. As a holiday treat, the tour will be offered every day from Dec. 26-31.
Tickets ($25-30) are available online, or at (800) 838-3006. In true Seattle fashion, tours are not cancelled due to rain — so make sure that you’re prepared for a little (or a lot of) drizzle during the crawl.
