I’m after real friendship.  I’ve lived in Seattle my entire life so I’ve accumulated different circles of friends from school, workplaces, friends of friends, co-ed sports leagues, and more. However, with many friends, our goals or priorities simply aren’t compatible anymore. We all have our own very busy lives. People have gotten married and have kids or moved away. The League launches in Seattle on August 1st

The League is a dating app designed for highly ambitious, creative, and intelligent singles in metropolitan cities including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, and London. Out of 9,534 applicants, 2,005 Seattle professionals have been hand-selected to be a part of the “founding class” when the app goes live in Seattle on August 1st—that’s approximately a 22% acceptance rate. Dirtybird BBQ 2016: Seattle Edition
Ahh, the joys of summer. August is in full swing and what’s better than sunshine, booty-shakin’ music, and delicious grilled food? It’s BBQ season! Dirtybird started with a grill and some speakers in Golden Gate Park 10+ years ago. They’ve hosted a lot of park parties and 2016 will have real BBQ fare, games and fan-fun contests. Cupid’s Undie Run Benefiting The Children’s Tumor Foundation is this Saturday, Feb 20th
Cupid’s Undie Run is a super fun, crazy 1-mile charity race where runners wear ONLY UNDERWEAR. Seattle’s edition takes place this Saturday at Westlake at noon! Cupid’s Undie Run focuses on the amazing mission to raise awareness for NF (Neurofibromatosis) and provide funds to The Children’s Tumor Foundation. The event is held in a total of 39 cities nationally and has currently raised over $2 million. Unlike other cities who hosted the run earlier this month with freezing temperatures like DC and Detroit, Saturday’s forecast calls for a party cloudy day and a high of 52 here in Seattle.  (more…)
