The Mariners: A Fan’s Tribute
Historic highs and lows — one Seattleite’s history of rooting for the M’s. I’ll start on this note: I had nearly finished this piece when news of the Michael Pineda trade came across the “Seattleite” sports desk. I was then tempted to delete everything and chronicle the often painful history of blockbuster Mariners trades. I thought better of it, considering mere mention of the name “Heathcliff Slocumb” still sends some fans into a crying fetal position. So, Mr. Zduriencik, let’s just say I hope this one works out.
